Tractor
B7800, JD RX95
I own a L3010 and want to use a sub compact tractor or high end garden tractor to edge around the orchard as well as my front yard.

I am trying out a GR 2100 and am not in awe. I live on a very steep hill and can not see paying $7000 for a lawn tractor that may get blown apart in my orchard.

Any recommendations? I am replacing a JD 318 and that is really tough. I was thinking about getting a BX15XX with MMM before they discontinue it?

Thanks!

Already has been discontinued. Good unit. You should be able to pick one up with big discount.

I'm not sure how I did here but I suspect I did not get hurt too bad:

BX1500 with 54" MMM and front brush guard for $7925 (no sales tax in Oregon) with 0% intrest for 3 years.

Seems to me that the Kubotas are starting to mulitply in my garage just like the Stihl products started to do a couple years ago...:)

congrats, for the money you got a tractor not a mower,I test drove one of those bx1500's and was inpressed.I ended up going up to the bx2230 for loader size, but for mowing and light 3 pt work I don't think you'll be sorry.around an orchid I would think you will find other uses for it as well.

I have heard from many people that the BX-15xx is a very nice machine, but is the deal at $7900 is too much?
Should I will renegotiate for something else/better. Maybe the times of getting a good deal on BX-1500 with a MMM are over?
I have no use at all for the FEL. In fact, it will only get in the way.
Should I go for a BX1850 instead? How much should one cost with a 54" MMM only?
Thanks!

Have been looking for a tractor for about a year now. Have 3 acreas, trees, hills, and kids toys. Looked at the John Deere X300, was going to jump on it, but the dealers, throw in alot of hidden cost and jack the price from 2799 to 3600. They turned me off from the John Deere name cause they were hard to trust. Looked at what Lowes sells in John Deere, but not tough enough. So ended up with the 3500 Cub Cadet and now looking at a second tractor needed and looking at the Kubota T series. Liked the Huskavarna, but replacment parts problems with Sears making them...

I purchased a TG 1800 in 2004 and just did not do what was expected of it . Nice tractor but the attachments are limited to that particular model.
I traded up to BX 1830 and have been happy since.

If you do a search on this forum BX1500 price you should come up with some info of what people have paid.I know here in Pa.back in Dec. and Jan.I have seen prices around $7500 but I don't think any of the dealer's around here have any left.Location has a lot to do with pricing.Like I said this was a good tractor for the money,You could always jump up to the new BX1950 I think or look for low hour used unit.

Just got a quote today for a BX1500 with MMM for $8100 from a low cost dealer, so I think you did fine. He said he only has one left and the factory only has five left. He said there were no special end of production deals aside from the $100. rebate. I don't know how much of this latter info is correct.
