As mentioned a pipe wrench with a snipe should work.
Cut the nut off?
Cut the nut off?
Jim, you understand. I have been issued a challenge.

.I finally had time to get back to this project. When you walk up to my work bench, you know what is hanging on the wall straight in front a me? A pipe wrench. I was caught up trying to find something to go in pin hole that would hold it. I hit it with PB blaster a couple times over the last week. Pipe wrench and cheater bar and I had it off in a sec. I was going to put on a new lock washer, but threads to damaged to use again. I had two new handy. Just replaced both. I had a dozer push up some small trees in a back filed. Since it has rained so much there are some sink spots that need a little leveling. Ready to get on it. Jenkinsph, you are correct. They could have been cut off faster. The only thing I have to cut with is a handheld grinder. I have seen picture where the wheel has shattered and hit the person in face and chest. Makes me nervous to use the thing now. If they had not come off fast, I was going to drive it up to my neighbors and have him cut off with torch. Thanks for the input from everyoneView attachment 421863View attachment 421864.
