I got my steering cylinder back from the repair shop yesterday around 4:30. It took 30-45 minutes to get it re-installed on my TC35A, but I got it installed without much trouble. It did take about 30 seconds to get the air out of the hydraulic system, but everything seems to be working now.

I tightened everything up and took it for a test drive. 4wd seems to work just fine without any strange noises .... so I don't think I bent anything else. I am hoping that everything will work fine after getting the steering cylinder replaced.

I did do some other maintenance while I had the tractor setting still for almost 2 weeks. I drained the oil and changed the oil filter. It got a new air filter and I cleaned out the radiator by spraying water through the fins from behind. It is amazing how much grass and dirt can get in a radiator.

I cleaned up the area on the tractor that had hydraulic oil on it and parked the tractor back in the shed overnight. Any new wet areas should be from a leaking line, so I am going to check this morning. I plan to grease it up good and put it back to work after I get home tonight. I will post a picture of the new steering cylinder. I figure that I saved about $200 in getting it rebuilt vs. buying a new one. Total bill was $405 vs. at least $600 for a new one.

Thanks again for all the help.

The cost to repair seems about right at least from my experience, it wasn't mentioned but I suspect the rod was not available as a replacement pard?
