My planter gave me lots of two and three seed drops this year, same plates and seed but not much uniformity. I've tried thinning by hand (back breaking work) and also used a highway pickup tool. The highway pickup grabber just doesn't have enough gripping power to get the corn out.
Any suggestions on a tool I could use to get the corn out without so much bending?
Any help would be appreciated.

Well you must not plant corn like me or you wouldn't be worried.
I plant 3-4 seeds about a small step apart and thin to no more than three in a "hill",works fine, two three stalks in one spot, but I got that space. Wouldn't worry about thinning if thats all you got.

Being orginally an Oklahoma boy, I was told the Indian way was to plant 5 seeds per "hill"; one for the worm, one for the crow, one to rot, and two to grow. As far as thinning, I thought a garden hoe was the right tool.
