Actually just the parts circled in red. I had it unhooked and the parts fell off out in the field.

Let me know if you can help. Called Valley Power, they only have them new as a complete pair.

Ditto. I replaced one, and within 2 months I had to replace the other. Would have saved myself about $15.00 if I hadn't tried to cheap out the first time. If they don't come with the clevis's, be sure to buy them too. As spectre said, trust me on that one.

Where do you guys buy these? Valley Power wants $75 for a pair of new ones.

I don't remember now who I ordered mine from now (it was 4 or 5 years ago), but at that time it was like $35 ea or $60 for a pair + shipping, so allowing for inflation that sounds like a fair deal.

Even if you try to build your own which isn't terribly difficult if you have welding/cutting tools, finding turnbuckles isn't easy or cheap either, and I haven't found the exact kind of turnbuckles that are on the Satoh Beavers. If you go to McMaster or Grainger you can find the parts to build similar ones, but you'll end up paying at least half just for the parts, then you'll spend half of a day fabricating them. My turnbuckles were siezed up but I freed them enough so they are useable, but they also need to replaced and I'm not inclined to do so yet.

I bought the chains from VP about a year ago for my Buck.

they get a set of chains like the Yanmar posted above, take out a link, and weld on a piece on the end to fit the crossbar. For my Buck, they've worked out great. You can see them in my post below about 3 pt help needed. You might save some money, but spend some time scrounging around and making something work, but you'll probably have to do a little fabricating.

Steven's Tractor Supply has many check chain offerings:

Ford Tractor Parts - Ford 8N Tractor Parts - Tractor Parts

There are quite a few check chains on eBay as well but Steven's has a more diversified selection. Steven's also has drawings showing the dimensions of what they offer.....which may help you in making the correct decision.

Steven's also offers component parts for check chains.
