Need a seat without taking out a bank loan

I need a replacement seat for my Mahindra 485, but everywhere I look, they only offer the entire seat setup (at over $150). I just want to be able to sit on the seat without being soaked by rainwater from last week, which the cracked seat allows. Anyone know where I can get just the seat? The replacement seats I've seen don't fit my tractor due to the frame having a "hump" directly under the seat...

TSC has seats, you might have to come up with a bracket on your own though. I did one for my JD 850 when I had it. I think I got it for 40 bucks.

Tried that. Bought the generic seat for $68.00 just for the cushion, then the holes didn't line up, so I decided that a 2.00 roll of black duct tape would have to suffice. Okay for now, not so great when the adhesive starts sticking to things...

I've seen some universal tractor seats, the pretty good ones, for around $100.

Have you checked with your dealer about buying just the cushions? Might be cheaper.TB

You should be able to fabricate a bracket to adapt the seat for your use.
