I have a 5' 3Pt hitch harrow and would like to upgrade to a pull type harrow. Any recommendations of what size Harrow the tractor can comfortably pull

Are you more interested in pull width/coverage or depth of penetration?

Monroe Tufline is a premium brand in serious ag Disc Harrows and one of the few producers of pull discs.

Time to enter your new Kubota into your T-B-N PROFILE to avoid confusion. Good to add your location at the same time.

Look at Tufline's two ranges of pull discs. If you estimate price at $3.00 per pound of implement total weight you will be about right.

For penetration research the largest diameter pans in a pull disc with an operating width just a little wider than the outside-to-outside width of your rear tires. Penetration potential will be about 40% of pan diameter, depending on soil, soil moisture and angle at which pans are set.
(24" pans = 9-1/2" potential penetration.)

A pull-disc will level small hills better than a mounted disc but I am somewhat doubtful a pull-disc will penetrate deeper than a mounted disc when both are as wide as your rear tires.

If penetration is your primary goal consider field cultivators and chisel plows. Field Cultivator will penetrate 10" in tough soil, Chisel Plow 12" - 14".

There should be a least two Tufline dealers in S.C.

I have a Tufline Disc. Quality is super-good.

We pull a 10' with our M8540HDC and it gets good penetration, no name on it and not a high dollar piece of equipment.
