One of the tires on my dump trailer has a chunk of tread coming off.

With that said... any suggestions on good quality, low price tires? I need 4.

Thank you!

I went with with the Michelin XPS. Been great so far. I bought 10 of them.

Good quality and low price will almost never go together. Find some take offs from a 3/4 ton. CJ

The best tires are the Michelin XPS ribs. I use BF Goodrich Commercial TA on my trailers and so far no problems and they're made in the USA.

The problem with finding take-offs is the 235/85R16 is not being used on any new pickups anymore and it's going to be hard to find decent used tires. I would have the Michelin XPS on my truck but they're only made in two sizes, 215/85R16 and 235/85R16.

On a trailer I will put nothing on but Greenball Tow Master Radials.

I was thinking about BF Goodrich as well

Just did this last weekend...our local yard usually has a row of Ford trucks with at least one or 2 235s...but the supply is dwindling! Lots of 245/75-16 now. I may have gotten the last 2 in the yard for $20 each. Would prefer new, but I'm so darn hard on them...lately have had a rash of damage on the highway due to debris.

On a side note, its surprising how many 3/4 ton 4wd trucks end up there...stuff from the 80's and early 90's is basically throwaway now with scrap prices the way they are.

Talking to the trailer guys. Seems like 17.5s are picking up in popularity.

Also. Not sure it is about scrap value but more like repair costs.
