Need 12v power source

I need to find a 12v power source to hook up my spayer. I have a B7610. I have a 25 gal sprayer that has an electric pump.

I was hoping there was a power source readily available but dont see one.

Please help.

Probably your best bet is to come right off the battery with a fused pigtail and a quick disconnect.
I like the Minn Kota trolling motor connectors -Minn Kota | Quick Connect
and they usually have them at WalMart- one reason I like them- easily available.

Just be sure the one with the insulated pin (red wire +12) is on the source side...

AFAIK all Kubotas have a built in "work light" fuse and wiring in the harness run to under the seat. My GL3240 has 3 spade plugs under the seat serviced by a 10 amp fuse. This circuit is only hot when the ignition switch is ON.

BTW Some Kubotas have a dynamo instead of an alternator. There has been discussion about how much electical equipment (amps) these dynamos can handle and still charge the battery.

I like to use the metal plugs for towing trailers for my power source. They are the round ones with the metal cover that folds up when you need to plug in the trailer lights. I can mount them just about anywhere and have done so on my dozer, backhoe and CUT. Then I put the trailer "male" fitting on what I need to power so that I can easily plug it in when I need it. Mostly I use them for my 12 volt fuel pump for filling my tractors with fuel, but they will work with anything.

You can ususlly find a hot wire under you dash somewhere that's only hot when the key is on. Just put a volt meter on the connections until you find it. Then splice a new wire into it and run to your connection.

We use a 24-gallon sprayer a bunch around here. Had a 40-year-old garden trailer and set the sprayer in it. Saw that the metal wasn't too good for the plastic, so we put a couple of old rubber mats underneath. Also cushions the sprayer as it rides. Pull it with either a little garden tractor or four-wheeler.

For the power, we use a portable battery jumper-offer thing (highly sophisticated, technical term). Buy 'em anywhere from big-mart to local hardwares. Our sprayer has two little red and black clamps. We just hook up the red and black from the jumper-offer. We have to re-charge after three or four hours of use.

This setup is convenient and portable.

If you're new to sprayers, we'll mention one more thing. Our sprayer has a rubber intake hose inside the tank with a plastic mesh filter on the end. If we don't pull off the filter every tank or two and wash it out very well, we just get a trickle from the spray hose.

After having to stick our hands and arms up to the elbow in the poison to get it off when the tank is full, we soon learned to check it frequently!

If you want to take time to do it nicely:

On my JD355D I got a small box and switch and mounted it under the seat. I ran a cable under the frame to the battery through an in line fuse holder.
I added short pigtail onto the box that the sprayer plugged into. This allowed me to turn the spray bar on/off easily.

These parts should be available at Radio Shack.

I recently traded the 355D on a X748SE and it came with an outlet and switch for the sprayer. One less thing to do.
