Do you know how many more steps this would add to an oil change? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Steps provided here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have one of these! I bought it online in 1997, one of my first online purchases. Works well.

klm,
Oh, I don't know, convenience maybe...

I have some engines that take 2qts, 4qts, 5qts, 6qts, and some that take 20oz.
I tend to like the convenience of knowing e x a c t l y how much oil I've added. Cost of convenience be darned. Way back when we had large engines, we purchased oil bulk in 55 gal drums, of course adding oil when it neede it then it was by the gallon. Now, I find the answer is to buy oil by the box of quarts.
That's why this thing sounds like a cool gadget.
There should be one for the liquid hand soap or the shampoo.
This stuff is much more expensive than oil. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It's a pretty slick idea. I always at least drain my bottles into a 55 gallon drum I use as a waste oil container, although I tiry and drain clean oil bottles (if there's a few, like when I do an oil change) into a single bottle, using the plastic tip from a gear oil bottle ....... they end up falling over alot of the time. This gadget would be handy.

I always take the shampoo bottle once it's empty and run some water in it and then use the dilute solution .... takes more than the concentrate to get a lather but by the time I've watered the bottle a couple of times it's clean before I toss it. Same with the hand cleaner.

And now you've got yet another oily item to either laboriously clean off, or store oiled up. And I think their 4 - 5% claim is pure hoke, unless they did their testing at -20F.

I think you have to buy another product that allows you to drain the oil off this device. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

You know, you could come up with something similar for about $2.00 or less in PVC fittings. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
