I appreciate all the advice and insights. I am having to put my search on hold until spring. As I said, so far Kubota dealers have the most responsive, so I will probably be looking at Kubota in the spring.

Then I would think that the tractor decision has been made. All that is left is the bells and whistles and the price.

Well, I went a totally different route. I did not even know they existed, but I started looking at the Cub Cadet/Yanmar EX3200TL. The financing term wasn't as good as Kubota, but the payment was okay with my accountant (wife), so I pulled the trigger: $14,900 with FEL, R-4s, and hydro-static. I have put about 15hrs on it so far, and it is working great.

Congrats! I have 3 older generation Cubs and have had no problems whatsoever in the last 3 years. Very capable machines. From all I've heard and read, the new generation Cub/Yanmar's are even better.
