way to many people hold the trigger all the time and use the safety to drive the nail as the hit the gun on the wood. Not that it is that bad a thing to do if you remember to let go when you slip or fall. Working in trusses I have seen more than one person nail their foot to a table.
But this....ouch

I keep my PorterCable set at Sequential Fire vs. the Bump Fire. One of the things I really like about it that helps keep it safer (I won't say safe because....) that if you squeeze the trigger before the safety is compressed it won't fire. Takes a little bit of getting used to at first, but once you get your mojo going and understand the process, it really is a better design.

I can change the trigger though so that it is Bump Fire. I'm not doing anything that high speed that I'm that worried about speed though.

chucko; Saw that photo awhile back. If I'm not mistaken, the guy that shot the other was either tried for attempted murder or murder. Not sure which.

I own a fair number of nail guns and gunpowder guns. Both can be deadly in the wrong hands. On a build, anyone that uses a nailgun is usually reminded by myself to treat it just like a firearm.
