Nail Gun Trigger Repair?

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure someone here can help me out. I have Bostitch finish nailer N60FN that has air leaking out from around the trigger. I'm assuming that I need to replace the o-rings or the entire valve assembly.

Before I get started. What is the proper way to remove the valve assembly?

Bring it to a tool repair place and you will have it replaced for less than $10 bucks..
and you should be able to wait for it..

I have the same model gun. When it started leaking like that the Tool Hospital in town said I would be better off buying a new one. AND they don't do walk-ins, I had to leave it and come back a few days later. Problem was, the store was 45 minutes away from me.

That looks like my Gun. I'm trying to figure out how to get the valve out that is right above the trigger.

Your going to need to get some 'pin drivers' at the tool store to do this.
Don't try cheating with a nail or something, you'll bugger it up.

Gently tap out pins 1 and 2. You don't need a sledge hammer here, a small one will do.

While removing pin 1, watch how it goes together cause I believe that trigger is a 2 piece.

Once pins are out and the trigger is out of the way, gently pry the valve out.
Sometimes connecting it to the hose will 'pop' the valve out. If you do, keep your fingers tightly holding it in while you connect or you'll have that sucker shooting across the room.

Willl is right. Use a pin to drive the roll pin out. it'll come out easily. A little air (low pressure) and the trigger assembly will pop out. You may be able to find a match for the individual o-ring that is leaking but, I never could. Buy the new trigger kit and you're back in business.
