I'm having trouble now with the tractor. It will start fine and idle great, but then it will just begin to loose it self and quit. I let it sit for a couple seconds start it, and it does the same thing, over, and over.
I took off the sediment bowl cleaned the screen. Screen wasn't dirty anyway. Put it back together turned the gas on and watched the bowl fill up. There was a steady stream of fuel coming out, then it would drip fast, then stream again. There should be a steady stream of fuel till the bowl is full correct?
I did check for spark by taking off the coil wire to distributor cap off. Grounded it to the frame. Turned key on. Pushed starter , and had spark there.
Funny thing is it started and ran that way for a few second till I shut it off. Still did the same thing. Can they run with the coil wire grounded to the frame?
Actually now that I think about it, I should of disconnect the plug wires off first. Right? Then check spark from coil.
