NAA Brakes Locking?

I have a 1954 NAA. After it sits for a few day, when I try to move it forward, the right wheel is locked. If I back up and move forward one or a few times, then it works normally, and does for the rest of the day. I have cleaned the brakes on both sides and installed new springs. I adjusted the starwheel for no drag when the pedal is not depressed. Do I have a brake problem, or something even worse? I would think if the problem was in the bearing or differential, the symptoms would be worse and noisier. I want to get the brakes working and balanced.

I had the same problem with the left brake last year, but cleaning it and replacing springs fixed it. The shoes are not new, but don't look 50 years ol either.

Also: is there anyway to gang the left and right pedals together on this tractor? There is no link on the pedals themselves. It looks like there had been a parking brake mechanism, but that is long gone.

FYI: I also had clogged oil galleries last year. Sea foam and ATF fixed it up.

take that brake apart again and make sure the springs are strong enough to hold the pedal up. can also chamfer the leading edge of the shoe.. make sure it is on correct and not cocked.

normally you step on the center of the pedals to get both.. but if you don't need r/l braking at all, buy a piece of radiator stick hose.. stiff stuff.. and 2 rad clamps.. slide on one pedal and work it ont he other.. calmp em up.. now they are pretty much ganged..
