I bought a 1998 hst 1630 with 900 Hrs. that needed a clutch but otherwise seemed clean. I took it to a shop that had worked on it previously and had the clutch done along with an "anything it needs" go over that reached $5000.( combined with the purchase price, more than it's worth) After picking it up I discovered it was leaking hyd. oil from the vents in the bottom of the housing behind the clutch. The rate of leakage varies considerably each time I park it but is always significant. The other thing that is noticeable is a heavy throb when the clutch is depressed. The Shop maintains since they never went into the area that is the source of the leak they are not responsible even though there was no leaking prior the the repairs, and any additional work will be at my expense. I am sure that I have been anatomically trespassed and think I know what they did, but don't know what to do about it. I would be grateful for opinions not biased by my diagnoses, and suggestion of what to do(without a lawyer). Thanks, Mcdust
