I was just a Tractor Supply and noticed an oil I have naver taken a look at before. Mystik TJ-8 15w40, it is API rated CI-4 and a 2 gallon jug is only $12.68. On the back label it says it is made by CITGO.

Anybody use the Mystik oil?

I don't use it but have seen it for sale in a lot of places. I have a neighbor friend that uses nothing but Mystik in all his tractors. He round bales several thousand acres a year, so I'm sure it's good oil.

I do not as I am "stuck" on synthetic, namely Mobil Delvac 1, aka Mobile 1 Truck and SUV. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

However, CI-4 is the HIGHEST rating for Diesel engines. As a CI-4, it (Mystik) is arguably as good as any other non-synthetic that you can use. And, you cannot argue with the price!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
