Mystery Solved - Asian Model John Deere

Well I saw in a thread last week about Chinese tractors someone asking "aren't all small JD's made overseas?"... I've now solved the mystery for everyone... indeed JD does make a small tractor in China for sale in the US. I don't have it's specs yet, but maybe Mike aka Rockyridge can find them on the Deere website.

I don't think the new loader arms will fit on it, but overall I have to say it's a dependable looking machine.

Actually ALL Deere's are made in China, then shipped to Japan. There, they popa "Made in USA" sticker on them in a little fishing village, Usa, Japan.

Ironically enough - the "Made in USA" sticker is actually made in Taiwan... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif(Kidding). I'll tell ya - I don't know why I stick with my Amerasian Deere... It's just that Green and Yellow paint keeps calling me.

On a serious note I still have the postcard I got with my Owner's Hat. It's a pic of folks at the plant where our tractors are assembled... sure looks American. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
