Just the opposite here. When Spectrum (Time-Warner at the time) came thru here in the early teens, probably 80% of the residents on my road signed up. I dropped them earlier this year, not due to any service problems but because Consolidated (regional phone company) offered more speed for less money.
I don't know anyone who uses Starlink, even though they have an uplink point maybe 5 miles from here as the crow flies. Given the price, it's kind of an ISP of last resort.

Gotta say, never thought I'd see the day when I'd have multiple fiber ISPs to choose from. When we moved here in the mid 00s, dial-up or Hughesnet/Wildblue were the only options. Not even any cell service here at the time (well, it's still kinda iffy but usually works).
Give it time. I've had fiber from AT&T, Spectrum, and Frontier. They all had uptime problems. Sure, they are cheaper than Starlink, but much less reliable. 99% of the time, you lose Starlink is because you lost power anyway.

Some of yall might find it funny, but i specifically bought Pink marking paint to lay out my driveway, parking pad, ect. It's the "right" color; but its easiest to find orange (telecom)

Not at all ! I prefer pink, then orange, with red being a distant 3rd when I am marking random stuff.
Last year I did make an exception when I meticulously marked the flood plain of my stream with blue paint and blue flags. It was quite a project in getting the numbers from the county GIS flood plain map, transferring to my AutoCad plat, and marking the ground. I wanted it to be so precise and beyond reproach that the county wouldn't even question it. They didn't even blink, which surprised me.
