Glad you had fun. If you took I-90 across SD, then you went through the small river town of Chamberlain, where my folks reside.
Your folks reside - did you grow up there?

If you went I90 through Gillette you were within about 4 miles of our place. Would have been prettier a month or two ago. We are brown/burned up now. Smokey here now from Montana fires.
I grew up in eastern SD among the farms and glacier lakes on one called Lake Norden which is Norwegian for "north".
Too bad! I never liked Chamberlain - they were in our conference and always seemed to be our spoiler. Of course part of it was that it was a 4+ hour bus ride to get there.
Still coming from the east on I90 when you pop over the that hill and the Missouri is big and wide in front of you - it is one of the most gorgeous sights there is.
Creamer, I have no idea what the "conference" is you are speaking of. High school sports?
Just got back from a 3500 mile bike ride through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota. .. some of you guys have incredible properties. Not sure if we passed any members farms on our travels but I think Wyoming just may be my favorite place in this county at the moment. I would never get tired of the mountain and field views.
I worked for a weld shop there owned by a fellow named Claude Kissak in Gillette. (correct spelling?) That was long, long ago. If you go to our dogs blog, we passed through there about a month ago and stopped at the wonderful BBQ stop there. Its under "wild west adventures" The Trail Mutt Reports Was it called Jo-Bawbs???
