It is a 410. Charlie, it had the eyes on it when i bought it, so I am not sure what they are for. I have had some serious fun with this thing. I have learned a lot about hydraulics also. Thanks for letting me show it off. Thanks...Emery

The eyes are for forks like in a fork lift.

Some scrap yards have them where they've failed because of age etc their rating. You can buy the forks for a buck a pound or more. The rod that goes through the middle of those eyes and the eyes on the forks has to be at least cold rolled steel. Using hot rolled is comparable to replacing the handle in your favorite square point shovel with the one from your wife's mop.

I've bought short forks and lengthened them and put eyes on them for front loaders. It's not a big thing to do. But if you put forks on that frontloader you will find you just doubled it's usefullness around the place.

I think that is a better idea than the permanently mounted ones like mine. (flipover tuckaway forks) You don't need forks all the time on a BH (most of us) so just hook em up when necessary. Problem: me and tree do combat. Tree takes resists heavily and bends up the weaker part of the fork mount. Lesson: don't ram tree at 40 mph with JCB./w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

But, on the other hand, having the flip capability *whenever* you need it sure is nice. No going back to pick em up, etc.
