MossRoad- I disagree and here is why. I do not see any postings on top of the photo forum stating these guidelines. As I am sure you are correct and this rule has been posted sometime ago (not today) but what if I signed up 20 minutes before posting? What if it “skipped” my brain? To make sure these guidelines are followed I (figure of speech) would post them on the top of all the forms or in there proper areas for referance. This would mkae more sense then referring to postings months or weeks ago.

Lastly ,I assume that file size is more important then width. So I could have a 2 MG picture 1” by 1” and be ok and a 24” by 24” at 30K is bad? Think you might need to re-think what you stated.

I am not sure why Muhammad did not add these "width" guidelines in the FAQ -- but it was asked of us to limit the size (width) of the inline photos to the width of the forum table.

There is an option users can select to NOT SHOW any inline photos, so many dialup users have that selected, so if you display photos inline, they will not see them -- which is another good reason to show links instead.

I guess the bottom line is to show courtesy to other users.

I agree and I have posted links to aid in the slower dial-up people. Not poking fun at them but the is the bottom line.

Have a good and safe holiday

Here is one of my Newfs working. She love it when the cart comes out.
I think she was bring the mail up from the end of the driveway.

The wife often sends her down to the woods with a cold drink and lunch for me when I'm working clearing tress.

No we haven't. She is one of the smaller newfs we have. She just turned 7 two weeks ago and is about 120 lbs.

MdNewf, thanks for the great picture. Seems like there's lotsa dog people here; boy do I feel at home!

Here's a picture of a Newf I was fortunate enough to have in my life for about 12 1/2 years. Kootenai never pulled a cart, but she certainly pulled on my heart... Today I still see her in every falling snow; she used to love to lay out in it.

Have a great holiday everyone!

mdnewf,

Nice dog, and a weight that I believe!!

I never have figured out why some people thing bigger is better, (as in the weight of their dog) /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif It never fails when I take the dog to the vet somebody will say, " my golden is a little bit bigger". Or something very similar.

My Great Pyreneese (sp) is 115lbs. She (Ali) will be 4 years old January 1.

Attached picture,,,,,,,,,,,,, Merry Christmas

RedDog: I agree with you, my wife’s ex husband’s (moron) rottie is 145 lbs. While it is a large female, she is about 40 lbs over height. Proper weight is 70 to 85 and with her large height, I would say 120 MAX. One of our pit is 80 lbs and the very says to be around 70 lbs. The problem is he has no fat, just muscle so he is fine. Just looks fat.

Also we got our (3) dogs on carrots and vegetables instead of the dog treats. It DOES keep the weight off.

Since my rottie has her leg operated on we use the “Bi-Flex” pills to help. The stuff works great! Better then the dog and it rebuilds the Ligaments & cartilage. Plus she has arthritis, which was made worse by the $1,200 operation. She is worth 10X that!!!!!!

I do not know why people think that if they feed their pets more they will be happier. WRONG! Causes many more problems down the road.

Nice pixs guys! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wishing you all, and your wonderful pets, a warm, happy, safe holiday!

I LOVE that picture! It made my day! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I showed my wife, and she's trying to figure out a way to train ours to do that, but I said she would run too fast and get tripped up with the cart. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Here's a picture of our baby. She's part chocolate lab and part husky (note the two different colored eyes!) She got stung by a bee this summer, and she's terribly allergic to them. She got all swelled up... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I love that pic! It exemplifies all the love and devotion our dogs feel for us rolled into one perfect shot!

Besides, you can't call them spoiled if they deserve it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One of the reasons I'm allowed to make a living doing what I enjoy is because of how people feel about their pets. This means I get to meet and enjoy some of the neatest animals alive, owners too. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Andy, nice looking girl, love the two different eye color.
Well out of the 4 newfs we have now she is the only one that will do that. They all pull carts and love to work but the other three are just to fast and think every thing is a race. I usually place some cut wood in ther carts and the bring it up the wood pile. Make them earn dinner.
Here's a shot of my little girl in the snow.

Harv that's a good artical
