( Now the REAL question is, what are you planning on doing with it once your daughter out grows it?)

Shhh!! She's at that age where Daddy's don't want to contemplate them outgrowing it...

HEY, one of the nice things about being Catholic is that we have these things called CONVENTS where we can ship girls to when they think they are old enough to become women! But until that time, she can be daddy's spoiled little girl and play in her playhouse. And why do you think I live so far from town and invite the kids to come to our house to play . . . it lets me keep an eye on them!!!

Hmmmm......... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That's the same logic I used when I built the downstairs TV room with a big screen TV, CD players, and awesome (at that time anyway) sound system for my 14 year old son! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And you are going to tell me that he grew up to be a fine upstanding citizen who contributes to the economy in a positive way and is generally admired and respected by his peers . . . because that is the answer I expect because it will justify the entire lifestyle and the sacrafices we have chosen to make to help insure our daughter does not grow up to be a burden on society . . .

Thanks for the compliments, the biggest problem I have now is the snow. She can't play in it for months! But that gives me time to install some shelves on the walls and maybe even find some furniture.

Hey Mark, thanks for the compliments. You should see the place now that it has furniture! I was able to find a company that sells scaled down furniture suitable for pre-teens. It is bigger than the furniture sold for little kids, but smaller than regular stuff. So she has a padded couch & chair, plus a bistro set that has a small table & 3 cafe style chairs. I also hung shelves on the walls and my wife hung curtains. My wife and daughter decorated the walls with some "fairy tale" wall stickers too.

But I still DON'T have the electrical system hooked up yet. I'm waiting for a little warmer weather to go out and dig the 100' trench I need to run the wiring from our pool house over to the playhouse. When I wired the pool, I dragged an extra circuit down there figuring that I would use it SOMEDAY.
