My pond

/ My pond #11
We recently had our pond enlarged. I was responsible to pump it dry, and then a local contractor was willing to do it during some "slow time". It took him about seven hours to dig a pond 60 X 80 feet and 10 feet deep. (It used to be about three feet deep and full of cattails) He used an excavator, a bulldozer, and a dump truck, and charged me only $900. (Thats in Canadian dollars, so I think that translates to about $25 US funds /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif). The only other condition that the contractor insisted on, was that I had to have a place on my property to dump the fill. We are very happy with the new pond.

Yeah my pond behind the home is full of cattails. It varies in depth from 1" to about 4". I'd like to have it from 4" at the low mark to 10" at the deepest. Thanks for the help. I attatched a picture of my pond (one side of it) to show you what I'm talking about.
