Gonna be a great addition to your building!!!! Added 30% or so??
Well, not so fast. It took all day to get the 12 foot round rail installed. I was by myself. I had to add a 10 foot 2x4 shim and a 2x8 backup board to catch all the bolt holes for the rail. Thank GOD for the sawmill. It saves a lot of trips to Lowes.

Both ends of the rail's mount holes caught the posts, so they were 6 inch 3/8 lag bolts. As the photos show, I had to fight 3 electrical conduits to get the rail mounted.

I also had to deal with the existing 2x6 that had a bad bow in it. That took the big clamps to tame.

So does the GN trailer.

After I was done, I would have thought to use the trailer.....

I framed the sliding door and installed it today. I will have to remove it next Friday to add the metal edges. 3-2-20 Door Frame Half Open.jpg3-2-20 Sliding Door Frame Install.jpg3-2-20 Sliding Door Framed.jpg
Right now, I just screwed enough wood on the door to keep everyone but a pole vaulter out. The walk-thru-door's lock quit working, so right now the Mahindra's huge rear tire is in front of said door.

After a week of 6 hours sleep each night, helping the concrete guys, and working from daylight to past dark, I want to go back to work tomorrow night to rest up.

I really like this version of a barn door. 3-6-20 Giraffe Shipping Crate Door.jpg I call it my giraffe shipping crate. I had it up all week to keep bad critters out.
