Thanks Jim. But I won't be staying in the land of retirement.:( I have a (huge) sawmill shed to build, a deck to build for a friend, build my log house and find time to run the sawmill, excavator, and my loader backhoe. I plan on keeping busy.:cool2: When I get all that done, I will look for an old truck to rebuild, like a White or Dodge to put over a cummins powered dually. Maybe help my son rebuild an early Challenger. Oh yeah.............fishing for cats in my ponds will take some time also.;)
hugs, Brandi

..........the barbers sons have no haircuts. No 3 phase service sucks. It's expensive to get.:( Maybe I need to store your lathe for you.:D Yeah...........that's the ticket.:drink:
I have been known to machine my own parts, but did that mostly in the hangar when the plane was finished and I didn't feel like sleeping. Slow with hand tools, but doable.:dance1: Like in post #1 here....... https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/229883-hydraulic-auger-mount.html?highlight=

Watch craigslist for a used rotary phase converter. You won't get true horsepower out of your motor (unless you get a really good one) but it will be close. I used to run a couple of big CNC machines off of one as well as the rest of my home shop. 3 phase is so much nicer for motors - no more starting and run caps that always go out at the worst times.
