I sold my brother who lives next door my 50 hour BX2370-1 and bought a used 99 hours Z724X from Barlows. I was testing the Z on some steep hillsides behind and beside my brothers house and was crossing a steep hill when my Z rear wheels got in a water run off gully/10" ditch that was wet. Got stuck! My brother was in his garage so I had to go get him and tell him to bring his BX and pull me out of the ditch which he did with easy peasy effort. He actually owed me anyway because I've had to pull his Husquavarna riding mower out of some situations before he finally jumped on the Kubota bandwagon in early spring with a BX1500 which I took in trade and then traded it to Barlows toward the Z724X.
The Z724X was actually handling the hill sides much better than I expected it to. Seemed very stable and maneuverable and controllable but the grass wasn't wet. I've previously owned a Z121/122? and a ZD326.

Going from a ZD321 to a Z724 isn’t a move I’d make.

I've probably made a lot of moves you wouldn't make. I could have bought a ZD1120 instead but I didn't need that good and expensive mower for secondary trimming behind my F mowers. That ZD326 was also a few years back as was the Z121/122. Some peoples lives and property situation stays stable but mine hasn't. I've bought and sold and bought different tracts of land over the years and my equipment has changed with the buys and sells and sometimes just because of the financial advantage of buying or selling a piece of equipment.

I wish you luck with it. The current line of Kubota gas powered zeroturns don’t impress me at all. The belts, belt drives and blade spindles are underdesigned and fail far too often. As a group they are highly disappointing, but the Orange paint sells a lot of them.

Did you just make this up or is there any personal or written reports that agree with your declaration? I watch this site and also previously owned (Nephew now owns) a gas Z and don't see anyone telling your story. Maybe it's a secret you've just revealed.

I’m the service coordinator at a Kubota dealership. Real world failures at low hours. We sell enough of them to have a good representative sample in house.
Notice I said CURRENT LINE not previous models.
Thanks for the obnoxious, condescending commentary. Just because you trade equipment like most folks change underwear does not mean you know everything about all of it.

Ask your pals at Barlow’s how many campaigns, service actions and bulletins there have been on Z100’s, Z400’s and Z700’s in the last 24 months and how many times each one has been revised.

We have been more fortunate with the Kubotas not to say that there are not updates on all of them. One of the mowers we are having excellent success with on side hills is the Cadet pro Z's series. Anyone can drive them and they hold side hills better then the others with the steering wheels.

WoW! I bet your a wonderful service coordinator dealing with the public. Hope they all just ask you meekly to do whatever they need and charge whatever you want and have it ready whenever it pleases you without questioning you. You seem rather touchy to be asked your source since you say you don't even own a Kubota. I will ask Barlows if you know what your talking about when I pick up my 27th bought Kubota, probably next week.
Maybe there is one or two owners of these Kubotas on this forum that will respond saying how right you are by their own ownership experience.
