International B 414
I recently bought an old farm, and with it came an International B 414 Diesel tractor.
The tractor is covered in dirty grease everywhere in the engine compartment and on the gearbox.
I suspect that the old ( as in really old man) owner hasn't spent a lot of time servicing it.

Does it leak because the oil seals/gaskets are worn out?
And how do I find new ones, is there a part list for something this old (1960's?) ?

What is the best way to clean off dirty grease from an engine block?

Just google case ih parts and that should get you to their parts website. If you google part numbers and get hits that's usually a good indication of parts availability.

Lots of times valve cover and tappet cover gaskets leak just because the bolts are loose. Tighten them but just a little. I think the torque on a bolt with a cork gasket is around 7 ft lbs.

Old grease actually comes off pretty easy with a pressure washer. A hotsy style works even better but you can get away without it. Blow of all the grease you can and then hit it with oven cleaner. Just don't pressure wash a diesel engine while it's running. You can seise the injection pump with cold water.
