Mowing My new toy

About two months ago I drove down to the John Deere place to look at a X730. They didn't have one, so I started looking at the sub compact tractors. I finally decided on the Kubota B2601. I ordered the Kubota RCK54 MMM and the Land Pride RCR1248 rotary cutter along with the tractor. Man power steering...How nice is that?

davedj1, I have a John Deere 5083E with an FEL. Thanks guys for the comments.

After a few days of mowing, here is my assessment. I let the air PSI in the tires down to 12 pounds. It rides a little better now. I ordered this mower with a 54 inch deck, because I didn't think a 24 HP engine would handle the type of mowing I would be doing. With the deck set to cut at 2 3/4 inches, the tractor set to 1800 RPM, and the gear selector set at medium, I didn't have any trouble cutting thick Bahia grass with sometimes going up a 30 degree grade. This mower would easily handle a 60 inch deck.

I can tell it is going to be hard hooking up the Land Pride 48" rotary cutter. Probably at least have to get the wife involved. It looks like this expensive a tractor would have adjustable lower link arms.
