Not sure what thread this belongs in to gain the most attention for advice?ut I will try here. I have a verbal deal on this tractor. Supposed to be delivered on Saturday. It has 506 hours with the hydro reverser. I do not know a ton about this particular model or what a fair price is. It was owned by a hobby farmer and everything works like it should. I have not closed the deal yet, so I could potentially back out. What do you guys think? It has grammar seat, radio, dual remotes. 2004 model.

Looks like a nice upgrade from the 674 - with power enough for your toys, er, tools. With low hours and cab it would probably have an asking price in the high 20's on Tractorhouse. Looks like the loader may not mate up with your grapple - if it's a dealer sale maybe they'd help with that? You're gonna like the cab and 4wd.

Nice looking tractor , it may just be the picture but those front tires look pretty worn for only 506 hrs. . I have the M5700 2005 w/hyd. shuttle shift and just love it . I have the r4 tires on mine with 456 hrs and they are hardly worn at all.

I looked at an M6800 when I was tractor shopping. It had the Kubota FEL, but it was not SSQA. It had (i) a cab and a/c with radio, (ii) hydraulic shuttle, (iii) 2 or 3 rear remotes (can't remember exactly), and (iv) a grapple and the 3rd function on the joystick. It had about 600 hours on it, and the dealer was asking $32,000 for it. I think I could have bought it for $31,000.

I'd say the one you're looking at, with the aftermarket FEL would have a fair price of $28k - $29k. 500 hours isn't much on that tractor if it's been maintained. I'd ask for the maintenance history.

That Grammar seat is probably $500 - $600 by itself. They're supposed to be really comfortable.

the 6800 is the same as the 7040 that replaced it and the new 7060.the only differance is slight upgrades from 1 model change to the other.price for the 6800 is from $28000 to $31000.so anything under $28000 is good.that tractor new prolly cost $38000 or a tad less.

Thanks. From what the dealer told me the Quicke loader is a little stronger loader than the Kubota one? What I have read is that is an opinion and not a fact. The dealer who has this tractor now sold it to the original owner and has the service history. The previous owner traded it in on either a zero turn mower or skid loader…something like that.

I plan to wax and detail it to make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I plan to purchase a light duty Construction Attachments grapple for it with the Alo mount. It is not set up as 3rd function yet. I have considered it but will try it first without.

Everything I keep hearing and coming back to is that older pre-emission tractors are becoming harder to find and that the emission stuff has actually made demand go up some for used units. Just hearsay, but I can see where that might be true. Like the old saying with land "they aren't making any more of it" same goes for the Pre EPA tractors.

My truck has a DPF on it and it works fine but I would just as soon not have it. Burns more fuel during regen process.

I priced a new M7060 HDC12 equipped the same way for $45,800…except for the features like economy PTO etc.

That's a really nice tractor and it should serve you well for a long time. I'd be particularly interested in how the Grammar seat works for you.

Looks like a nice tractor. I don't know much about the quickie loader but if it's comparable to the Kubota loader you'll be fine.
