Very nice paint job. I like the plastic insert. Sounds like a good idea for those with wet ,sticky snow.

Where did you get the paint? I just finished painting my truck plow to match my BX and I got the paint from TSC. Its called new kubota orange and it seems to be a tad brighter then my BX orange but close enough for winter use.

from TSC I think its the "old" kubota orange. i had the same thoughts about close enough for winter use

Nice set up, what is the width of your blower?[/QUOTE

the blower is 78" and the tractor is nearly 72" so the should match up nicely. i am wondering if i should have gotten the rear and side defoggers but time will tell.

I had a 74 inch and upgraded to a 80 inch blower on a 5030 and both sizes work well. Your 78 inch is a good match. Both my 5030 and 5740 came standard with rear and side defroster, is it an option on the US models?

".I think we had around 12' of snow last year. in addition to that I live on a ridge and drifting is a big issue."

Yikes..guess not much of chance getting cabin fever. ;)

Verrry nice.

I have an L4310 HST w/ a Curtis cab. 2 questions:
1. How is the factory cab?
2. Did you research other rear pull blowers?

nice!

Please post what you think of the pull behind blower after you've used it a bit

Well I finally got my blower painted to match my tractor and got it all assembled. This year snow clearing will be much more enjoyable on my 2700'+ hilly/windy driveway. The last two years I have used a B7610. The new rig is a L5240 front 7' blade and a rear PULL erskine blower with hyd. rotation and deflector. I also have a hyd top link to get the blower angle just right. I am ALMOST looking forward to blowing the snow this year.

Chains....

1. overall i think the cab is great and well laid out EXCEPT: move the 4wd lever it is in a horrible spot i think. the A/C needs more umph. the rear remotes could be more forward for better rergonomics. intermittant wipers would be great!

2.I did a little. The local dealers JD and Kubota both dealt with erskine so i felt more comfortable going with erskine if i needed a repair.... when i called erskine to ask a question about the perspective blower i was told they had a factory demo for a ~ 1500 cheaper then new
