Hey Joe did you buy a brand new Kubota with a dirty bucket? Or did you bless it already. Nice tractor, I've got a L-4310, little more power then my old Ford 1700. I've got a woods backhoe 7500, I'd like to know the difference between the Woods and the Kubota as far as performance. I love mine. Have fun, go tear up some of that Florida flatland. You don't have to deal with rocks down your way do you?

I drove through some palmettos and got it dirty. I am really impressed with this machine. I had a B2710, and this L4330 is a big difference. I can push over small trees and drive over palmettos stands. It's amazing how much power this machine has! The backhoe rips through roots with ease. I need to get more tractor time in tomorrow, but I already got sunburned from showing off my tractor to my neighbor. Yes, it's Florida and it was 86F today!

Rick: When you read this, you gotta come over and see this machine!

JoeR, powerful tractor you have there. Just remember when you are pushing with the FEL and it doesn't seem to have enough power shift to the low range and you will push till you run out of traction. If you are getting too much dirt while pushing - think tooth bar! Enjoy!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What made you pick the 4330 over 3830? I am fighting this battle now. Is the BH frame or 3 point mounted?
Great pictures and neat web site. What FEL did you pick and why?

enjoy

The L4330 only comes with one loader, the LA 852 or is it 853. The L3830 has trhe LA 723. That is the primary difference in the tractors. The loader has a higher lift height besides lifting more. A little more pump volume, a different front axle. The engine on the L4330 is a 4 cylinder, the L3830 is a 3 cylinder. I really thought hard about the
L4330 HST, but the price difference was more then I wanted to pay so I went with the L3830. I would suggest you try both out. If your going to do loader work that requires filling a dumpster or tall trailer, the L4330 would be a better choice as it lifts higher. After selling my L48 , I have found my L3380 to more then sufficient.

I picked the tractor last. I needed a loader with a certain lift, and a backhoe. The L4330 was able to handle the LA853, so that is how I picked the tractor. I purchased the BH-90 and it connects to a subframe. The BH-90 has a quick disconnect and it is easy to remove. The other model BH had a separate hydraulic pump that connected to the PTO. I preferred the BH-90 since it connects to the tractor hydraulics.

It's a great machine.

Joe was kind enough to let me play with his new tractor/backhoe. That is one awesome machine. I have never used a backhoe, but was able to get the basics down pretty quick. We dug out a pine tree stump that was much deeper than we initially thought it would be (about 6 feet).

The only problem I had was to keep looking for the shuttle lever and depressing the non-existent clutch!

Thanks Joe /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I waited 2 1/2 weeks for mine. It felt like 6 months of waiting! When my tractor arrived, I could not believe the size difference between the L4330 and my old B2710.

Rick: Next time you operate the tractor, we will tie your left foot down to keep you from manually shifting the HST. By the way, my brother was amazed at how quickly you learned the backhoe controls. I think you missed your calling as a machinery operator. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif As for that tree, it looked like it was 20 inches around at the base, yet it had at least a 6 foot tap root and it was well over 30 inches around under the soil! We picked the wrong tree test our backhoe skills. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Congratulations JoeR. I bought the same tractor in July of last year. Have 122 hours on it and feel fortunate to have picked the right tractor for my needs. Many thanks to the help from TBNers. "It" is referred to as the "Beast". Have cleared 10 plus acres of sloped, brushy land and am about half way to my end point. You can look forward to a very competent machine.
