The only place I've seen where people had their own gas wells was when I was doing gas leakage surveys for gas companies in Pennsylvania and Ohio. But there's one thing (actually a lot more than one) I didn't learn there. Since natural gas has no odor and the odorant is usually added locally so leaks will be noticed, what do those with their own wells do about that? Is an odorant added, or do you have leak detection instruments, or what?
