My new Boomer 1030

Well I thought I'd post a pic of my first tractor. Its an 08 Boomer 1030, right now with the XB King Kutter BB on it. I also have the 52" Tiller and am waiting on the 64" snow blower.

So far the tiller worked great and the box blade has only seen some light snow moving duty and was a pleasent surprise at how well that worked.

Welcome to TBN and that is a nice looking machine even though its the wrong color. What is the HP on a NH of this size? Did you get a Mid Mount Mower (MMM) with it? If so what size?

Congratulations on a gorgeous blue machine!!! Outstanding! I especially like the larger wheels and tires NH puts on these.

Tell us about the transmission. HST I assume. How do you operate it and how is it working for you?

Looks like that front snow attachment better hurry up and get delivered!!

Keep us posted over time on how it works out for you. Boomer cut and scut info seems to be rare on the net (or anywhere else for that matter.)

Thanks guys. This 1030 is a 28hp, 2 range hydrostatic. The tires are R4's but much different from my father-in-laws Kubota R4's. So far they work great and haven't spun at all. No weight in the tires and not planning on as I'll be doing lots of tilling during the summer. The pictures were taken this morning, we caught the edge of a snow storm so only a few cm's nothing major yet.

I do not have the MMM although you can get it for this unit. I'll likely get a 3pt finish mower as it was what I borrowed to get things cut before hand and worked quite nicely.

If you have any other questions I'll try and answer them. The only issue I had was when installing the loader they gave me the instructions for the 1025 boomer not the 1030 and it had 2 hoses switched around at the back, but once we figured that out everthing has been great!

So, where in Canada are you located?? Smart call on the RFM, that is what we got this time around, and do not regret it. Only used it on a leaf pile, before we put it away for the winter.

I'm in southwest Saskatchewan. Southeast Alberta got a big dump of snow..... I hope I get the blower before that happens here.
