Tractor
Kubota B2601
I have been mostly lurking in this forum for a couple of years now. I just want to thank everyone for their great advice. I finally bit the bullet and purchased my first real tractor. I was originally planning on a BX series with a Curtis cab but do to the rocks and woods on my new property I was concerned with clearance issues so I decided to go with the B series. Also the fact that the newer BX series seem to have a few problems. Since Kubota offers a factory cab for the B3030 I went for it.

I purchased the B3030HSDCC (cold weather version) with the FEL, 60" MMM, front quick attach and blade and the rear Kubota weight box. I had the two rear tires loaded and 3 hooks welded onto the FEL along with reinforcements to it. I also purchased the two factory rear remotes, factory rear work lights and wiper. I also had Kevin add the ATI Tach-ALL for future use so I can use skid steer implements. I plan on purchasing a quick attach grapple and pallet forks for it among other things.

I purchased the tractor through Emerich's in NY state. I priced around at CT dealers and they could not come anywhere close to the out of state dealers. Kevin does collect CT sales tax so there is no issue there. I have to say that Kevin Emerich made me feel the most comfortable purchasing a tractor site unseen and my experience with him and his dealership was more than positive. I would recommend anyone from the CT area looking for a tractor to at least get a price from Kevin. He sells and delivers many tractors to CT or so I have been told.

Here are a few pictures. I have only put 5 hours on her so far. I have many projects were she will come in handy.

That's a nice little home for your nice tractor!

Is that little garage a kit, did you get some plans, or build it from scratch?

If it's a kit or from plans can you share where you got them?

Thanks,

PB

It is what is called a portable garage. I purchased it already assembled and they delivered it on a special trailer. It is 12' x 20'. It came from a CT dealer called Kloter Farms - Kloter Farms-Sheds,Storage Buildings,Gazebos,Playscapes,Dining,Bedroom,Kitchen Islands,CT: T-1-11 Duratemp Siding: 12' x 20' who puchased all of their buildings from PA.

They just had a huge sale so I picked it up for a little over $4500 delivered. The only issue is the door is a 7' door so the cab tractor just barely clears it. That is the largest door they offer. It does clear it though :D. That is one of the reasons I went with R4 tires instead of Turfs as the R4 tires are slightly shorter than the turfs which keeps the tractor height under 7'.

FYI,

Hi Norm,

I gotta ask ya what that set you back? I am toying with the same setup. One thing I hate is the seat, but they say the F-series front cut mower seat made by Michigan is a bolt-on replacement, save for the $600.00 cost. I think it would be really nice to have heat since I always seem to be cold, especially in Massachusetts. Do you find it noisy as some have suggested? I think this is a sweet unit and I think I'll love that 4cyl diesel. The price I got from a dealer lately was 22K and some change here.

THe B3030 is a great all purpose tractor, not too small, not too large, and not a major project to trailer from job to job.

The cost really depends on the options you get. My total cost with CT sales tax was around $28,000 delivered.

The basic B3030HSDC with FEL runs $19,500. The 60" MMM is $2150. The front blade with quick hitch is $2030. The two rear remotes are $1050. The ATI Tach-All skid steer QA setup for the FEL with FEL bucket conversion is $850. The Kubota cab CD radio with setup is $600. It was also $200 to have the rear tires loaded and $150 to reinforce the FEL bucket and weld on 3 hooks. The rear cab work lights were $110. Engine block heater was around $100. Kubota rear weight box was $195.

Then there was a $250 delivery fee and CT sales tax added on top of it.

Hope this helps.

What is added to a B3030HSDC to make it a B3030HSDCC?

The only difference I believe is the rear wiper is standard and it comes with a rear window defroster on the rear glass (like cars have).

I was planning on ordering the rear wiper and rear work lights anyway so Kevin talked me into the B3030HSDCC as it was only I believe a $30 difference in price. I figured it was worth the $30 to have the rear defroster.

FYI,
