My New B2601

   / My New B2601 #31
Neil Messick sent me this yesterday. Still putting her together but I think she looks great. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/kubota-buying-pricing/428319-my-new-b2601-new-b2601-jpg"/>

Gotta love how they are picking the front of the tractor up with chain hooks against the new paint on the bumper! That's pretty sloppy. I would be peeved if that was my tractor.

I checked it over very carefully and there wasn't a scratch. For real! Now it has scratches and a slightly dented top link but it is otherwise in great working order. I truly use my tractor. About to do the 50 hour service and couldn't be happier with the service I've received from Messick's. I still find it a pain to remove the FEL but otherwise am fully satisfied with the tractor as well. It's not barn Jewelry it's a working mule, at least it is for me.

A question about nimbleness of the bx vs. b. when you look at the specs, the b-20 series actually have smaller turning radii than the bx-70 series.

I've noticed I can't actually turn too hard with the b2920 or it will tear up the grass even in 2wd while mowing.

Are the bx's more nimble than B even though their turning radius is not quite as good?

If you look at the b-series specs for turning radius you'll notice it says that it is with the turning brakes, since the bx doesn't have turning brakes it shows a larger turning radius.
Real world i believe the bx can turn a little tighter.

The BX being shorter helps too. I find the B2601 so much better for grapple and FEL work that I accept the slightly less nimble mowing qualities. I wouldn't want anything bigger, however, This fits a sweet spot for me that just works.

Ok thanks, that makes sense.
