I am retired from the army 20 years 1 Nov. 2013, bought a 40 acres on the lake here in Tn. I am looking to set up a farm stead. So if any you guys can help with info on certain way to do this would be a great help.

:welcome: to the forum from Idlewild, TN (Gibson County) and congratulations and thank you for 20 years of service to our country. I was medically retired October 2012 after 26 years and 10 months between the Air Force and Air National Guard.
I don't have any advice at the moment as I'm just on 4 acres and trying to remember what little I learned in my early years about farming and growing that I forgot and didn't need for all those years.
