mine has the horizontal wedge offset to give you two different size splits

You might try this . wheels are on with clip pins can remove to drop spliter on ground to split big logs. Havent got around to building hitch yet . Also have HYD pack that I am changing from 5HP to 14 1/2 HP that I can run spliter off of . You just don't let others know you have things like that . Saves having to loan them. I have found that loaning out tools to work with is a bad habet to get into usualy get them back in pieces with some missing.
I use a home built temp. table and ramp . also after spliting load into truck "do not throw on ground" Saves my 68 Year Old back. also use 350 B to bring logs to me a whole tree at a time.

Very nice I did the same thing about 2 years ago.. built my own log splitter and park my Mahindra 3525 to the side and hook the log splitter into the loader control valve... Never have to raise it above idle and it works great! my 5 yo son loves to run the control and help Dad... no fingers in the way of course ... We have fun splitting wood. It was scrap I beam and a surplus hydraulic cylinder 4x24 total cost was around 200 including hoses, cylinder and fittings. If I had a used cylinder it would have been MUCH cheaper.
It's fun to see similar ideas on here.

Here is my homebuilt with a desk. We put the portions of big chunks of wood on the desk as we work them over. It is 30 years old this year, but some of the components are are much older (the engine is 54 years old). It operates just as slowly as yours, but we aren't in a big hurry usually.
