1960 Case 430, 1947 Ford 8N, 1942 Ford 9N [not running], 5252 Cub Cadet to cut the lawn, John deere 140 , Sears SS12, Crafsman 5000GT, and a Gravley 816 which may be the most rugged tractor that I have ever seen.
Here is a four wheel wagon that I just finished building. It is something that I wanted but really don't need. It is made from a selection of automotive parts like VW spindles and hubs, Honda rims, and Audi tie-rod ends. It measures 10 1/2 feet long and 5 1/2 wide and rolls on 14 inch tires. The body is all rough cut oak with boiled linseed oil on the top surface and used motor oil on the bottom. I painted it Ford red on the running gear and the wheel are Ford grey to match my 8N. I tried to size it so I can pull it with either the 8N or my Cub Cadet 5252. It follows quite well as there is bronze bushing and bearings through out. I think it will hold about 4000 LBS but don't know.

Joe, nice job on the wagon! Do you have any pics of various stage of fabrication? I like the idea that you built your own running gear. Some folks around here have built their own from torsion axles and use a spindle to fabricate a fifth wheel to turn the front axle. These are used primarily for wagons being pulled by teams of animals. Using the axles they are able to have brakes as well. We on the other hand have an old converted farm wagon that's set up a lot like yours. We did go back and retrofit a set of rear disc brakes to replace the old hand brake. Of course I'm talking of another use for a wagon entirely. Again, great job!

Sorry, I don't really have photos during the build. This was something that just took shape. My dad was a machinist by trade and had a bridgeport miller and lathe in his garage. I since have the equipment in my home now and have been finding things to make to hone my skills. What better way than to build something useful. The main frame is 2x4x1/8 steel tubing and the front knuckles have 1 1/8 king pins. Here is a picture that may show the front better.
