Yea,, I know they start with the brake on,,,my DAD mows with mine on,???????Another thing ive learned by experience is that u cant stop on a steep hill with FEL and boxblade on in two wheel drive,,,,that was a fun ride,,,,,!!!!!!! was mowing my lot that i have to cross a paved road to get too,,,and when i put the fel back on forgot i was in two wheel drive,,,,,and started over a very steep bank. /brakes were usless, withthe weight,,,,,

If you were going forward then you could have dropped your box blade to stop you. Kinda like a ground anchor. :)

If things get overly exciting, lowering your three point equipment to the ground should slow you down and increase stability at the same time (with the obvious exception of running a rotary cutter without an overunning clutch).
