Thanks. We have 7. All four had twins, but one didn’t make it. I think the mother was overwhelmed and didn’t clear it’s face and it suffocated. The “matriarch” of the herd turned out to be the least enthusiastic mother and I spent several hours down in the barn keeping an eye on them before we finally tied the mother and forced her to let the babies nurse. That was about 6.5 hours in. But they are doing fine now. Twiggy, the first one to kid is the ugly runt. Only bought her because Lauren took a shine to her. She is squat and fat, with an ugly face and constantly screams at you for more food, but she was a fantastic mom. I had previously been thinking that she needed a “ride to town”, but she made two pretty does so we will keep her for another while.
I used flashlights and some battery powered utility lights, I ran propane heater the first night untill the babies were warm and dry and had fed. And did the same thing a few more times in the next couple days. And to run the heat lamps, while we were not in the barn, we used a couple battery powered generators. They worked very well. Sooner or later I will have to address the power issue.

Last weekend I got the track on but my grease gun broke, so I ordered a new dewalt 20v grease gun. Just got that this weekend so I will be pumping it up this week. Looking forward to getting back in some of these land projects

How did the install go?

Putting the new grease cylinder onto the idler wheel was surprisingly easy. Getting the idler back on the excavator was less so. By the time I got the idler in, the track was mostly off and I was working alone. Luck and persistence won the day but I’m still not done. Yesterday was eaten up getting a dog house for Ayi, my Akbash/ Anatolion mix. She has never been a big eater when it comes to dog food and she has been looking a bit thinner than I would like. We set out to buy materials to build a dog house but we decided to look on marketplace and craigslist. Got lucky and scored a new doghouse from Leonards (the trailer place). It was last one, discount. Picked it up and took it home. Packed it with Straw and Ayi was tucked in this morning. I’m probably gonna try to find another one for Hopper. His coat is much thicker than Ayi’s and he is still putting on weight but I think he might like a doghouse too. View attachment IMG_4245.jpg

It looked easier when I watched other people do it on their videos. Persistence is the key.

Doing it alone is 3X harder - if you had someone to move the track and another guiding the track it's a lot easier - but patience and persistence got it done - Good Job!
