Mom was half Akbash, half Anatolian. Father was papered purebred Albash. The place I got her are homeopathic, no vaccine except rabies as required by law.
Very nice people but I dont share that philosophy. I gave her vaccine sunday and started her on 3 day deworming because she has diarrhea. She is perky and playful but still has diarrhea so I took her to the vet this morning and got an additional dewormer as well as systemic flea/ tick/ heartworm meds. Also is on a biome building paste. When I went to pick the dog up Saturday they had put chickens in with the puppies, For a couple days to start training them as poultry guards. Anyway. She was 2nd to smallest dog by weight. Three boys were all 4-5 lbs heavier than she is. I wanted a girl so had first choice of them and was choosing between her and a sister that was 3-4 lbs heavier. Once she gets healthy, I expect some rapid growth, but she may end up on the lower side of size for her mix of breed. She is 9 lbs. should be 13-15 at this stage. Maybe I bought a dud. We’ll find out. I think she was weened too early and I think parasite load is surpressing growth.
