Just wanted to share my handy addition to my Husky garden tractor. It is a Warn Works 1700 and I found the right angle mounting plate for a Warn 2500 on EBay. It worked great and I am now ready for some fairly heavy winching including pulling myself out if (when) I get stuck mowing my drainage ditches.
The cables are run from the winch on the rear to the battery up front by using the same route inside the frame shared with the fuel line. I tie wrapped it with heavy duty ties to keep it away from any moving parts. I luckily found my winch for $81 including shipping and the right angle plate ran $18 including shipping. All in all a $99 project that took about two hours to complete.
