I have been looking for a good size trailer to pull behind the mule. I need it to haul tools, fertilize, and produce out of the field. I take people down to the field in the mule and constantly having to move stuff out of the bed in order to convert the mule for 4 people. I needed one that was not to wide since I need to make a 180+ degree turn on the way down to the field.
I look at several sizes and many used small trailers. A Harbor Freight recently opened close to me so I decided to check them out. This is the first item I have purchase from them.
It is 4' x 8' with 1700# of capacity and cost, after discount coupon, $275.00. The bed also tilts. It took about 2-3 hours to put together, pack the hubs with grease and another couple of hours to attache the decking and side rails which was not included in the cost. It would take less time if you pay attention for the directions
.
I purchased deck boards from Lowe's for the bed and rails. I will cut the side rails off once I decide if it is high enough.
I need to get a 2" adapter this week for the mule so I can raise the trailer hitch to be close to level.
I think it will fit my needs well and a good price. It also came with a light kit but I chose not to put them on.
