... for anybody that cares

Weight in pounds:

Kubota Grand L3940 HST + foldable ROPS: 3,627
Front end loader (model LA724): 1,168
Bucket (model "Square 72", "Quick Attach"): 331
Water weight in rear tires (tire size 17.5L-24): 515 each
Total: 6,156

Wow, tractors are heavy. And that's with no implement.

Does the overall weight include the juice in the tires or does it mean that the tractor weighs actually 2,600?

I think you've lost me ...

The tractor alone, without juiced tires, & without the loader or bucket, weighs 3,627 lbs.

And, the tractor + loader + bucket + water-in-tires weighs 6,156 lbs.

I see. I always wondered if they included the weight of the ballasted tires in tghe brochure weight. Apperently they don't! How many HP on that?

No, since adding water to your tires is optional, I don't think they would want to automatically include that in the weight. Somebody buying one without a loader, however rare that may or may not be, wouldn't add water to the tires (not for any other reason I know of anyway).

Engine gross: 40.5 HP
Engine net: 38.5 HP
PTO: 31.5 HP

Well I ask this because I've seen some literature that gave the weight and indicated "with r4 tires" and so I thought they were including the water in the weight as well.

Were did you get the specs for the loader.......My L4240 HSTC bare weighs 4001 lb
but have the 854 loader and loaded tires...I was guessing about 6000 lbs but think I am low.

According to my Grand L series tractor owner's manual & LA series loader owner's manual, yours should weigh:

Kubota Grand L4240 HST + foldable ROPS: 3,671
Front end loader (model LA854): 1,300
Bucket (model "Square 72", "Quick Attach"): 331
Water weight in rear tires (tire size 17.5L-24) (Slush-free at 14 degrees; 2 lbs of CaCl per gallon of water) (tires 75% filled): 515 each
Total: 6,332

Notes:

- You didn't mention which bucket you have
- You didn't mention the amount of CaCl in your tires
- The manual doesn't say whether Ag or Industrial tires

This should be very close anyway
