Been thinking about waxing the new LS before winter. I thought it might be a bit ... oh, I don't know ... obsessive? ... but, now I see I'd be in good company.

Thanks for enabling me, guys.

Does anyone use Rain-X on their cab windows?

I Rain-X'd my new truck windshield, but haven't done the tractor yet. It was a pain just Windex'n all the interior glass after I warshed it the first time just before the wax job. Don't know if a tractor would be going fast enough to have the air blow the droplets off. Let us know how yours turns out, you may start something.... :)

I was thinking more along the lines of it as a repellent, like wax on the paint, making it easier to clean. I'm going to do it. Can't hurt.

I wax the windows on my car and truck. You don't even need windshield wipers after that.
I have never tried Rain X.

I know the thread is getting silly.....But I totally agree to do the fel, if your pushing snow it helps it from sticking, and with muk and clay it makes cleanup faster!....Especially if you have to haul it around... but you need the time!

I use the leaf blower to clean off my bx25 after mowing every time. Just can't stand to put it up dirty. Periodically, I'll hose it down to get the built up dust as well. Never thought of waxing it though. Might have to try that next. Any wax brand recommendations?

Meguiars Ultimate is pretty good amongst others, not cheap. $22 at the Wally. Comes with a polishing towel. Just as much work to put on junk wax as the good stuff.....

The quickest, cheapest, easiest way to polish any vehicle is lemon furniture polish in a spray can. I've used three different brands, and they all work well. Lemon Pledge comes to mind. Walmart private label is just as good.

Are you sure about that? That seems like a short term gain long term pain solution. Would attract dust horribly and I don't know what it would do to the paint but it may not be good.
