Went over to my Dad's old place last weekend to take care of the overgrown grass on his 1.2 acres. It's a mix of all kinds of grass, and is really thick in some places-took me about 1.5 hrs with the little Orange powerhouse, and it only used 1.1 gallons of fuel. I'm still amazed at how well this machine does it's job,and wonder why don't I see more of them out there in use. I attached a pic of the machine in the middle of the worst section of the old yard-it took it with stride, and never even hiccupped.

I believe Kubota does a truly terrible job of promoting and advertising these wonderful machines.

I also very recently spoke to three dealerships, one had "never heard of it and never sold one" (I specifically asked about the G2160 after reading your posts so it's all your fault LOL) and even more shocking, two out of three didn't have a GR2100 to sell me even if I had walked in there with cash dripping out of my pockets (forget trying one out.) Those two said they "don't sell too many of those"... and their quotes were ridiculously high, close to MSRP...

I just read another thread saying that Carver in NC right now will sell you a BX1850 with 54 inch deck for 8,600 bucks (cool_season_new) and of course it's an even nicer and more capable machine. Hmmm I wonder if Messicks in PA ever runs these kinds of specials, they sure are very attractive!

Anyway as you can see my local dealers are not even close to competitive. If I had the dough right now I'd seriously consider driving all the way down to NC, I'll tell you that...

Thanks for the cool picture.

That is a good deal, and I would have gone that route...but if I had-it'd have been with a FEL,box blade and other assorted stuff, so pricing would have been out of the budget at the time.
So,I just decided on a dedicated mowing machine and I'll grab up a compact tractor(B or L series) later on.
