I used my BX2350 for the first time for plowing snow. I have a rear blade and a FEL. It does get kind of old looking backwards, but for the long stretches of driveway, its not bad. My drive is about 600 feet long and is paved. I was unsure if I should work going backwards or what. I ending up just going forwards and the blade still scarped the snow off well where it was run over by the tires. The blade seems alot easier than trying to use the FEL, but we only had a couple of inches of snow. Its a little tricky using the rear blade, as you swing the front end around to move closer to something, the rear blade swings further away, until you bring the front wheels back to center and the rear end swings back in line. This also holds true when trying to move away from something, the first move of the steering wheel moves the blade closer. Luckily I don't really have anything to hit, just a little scalped grass.

The one disadvantage of the tractor, its COLD! I have a walk behind, self propelled snowblower. It still requires enough effort to keep you warm. Not so on the tractor. The good thing is its so fast, its not a big deal. I did my drive in 20 minutes, and alot of that time was learning. You guys with the cabs have it made.

If I had a heated cab i could do better than seasonal seat time.

First things first. Go out and get yourself a cup holder big enough for a large coffee.

As for the snow removal sounds like you got it right. takes practice getting your rear blade close to edges etc. And keep moving forward. Thats easiest in shallow snows. It'll still work in heavy snows but you'll lay more tire tracks/clumps. For heavy snow Just push the bulk with the loader and then do the "clean up" with the rear blade.

Next option is to mount a plow to your bucket. Guessing that'll be next year.

Good luck

Dodge Man,

That snow removal will become second nature after a while. You will find that momentum will help with a smaller machine and larger snow falls. I can testify. Ha!

Where in West Central IL?

Bigdad, I live in Macomb Illinois. I see you list Western Illinois, which could easily be 250 miles from me.
