My 2185 w/@54" deck clogs easily too. Love the speed &18" turn radius though. My 3205 w/ 60" deck does not clog. I was told they stopped making it because it was too expensive to produce. ... Figures.

GTX2000 by the way. Tired of paying good money for pieces of sh*t. I'm stuck with it,as I'm not gonna take another bath on a mower.Just pointing out defects, which shows piss poor quality. Luckily, what I thought was a tranny issue with clicking noise, was a little slop between the single bolt that holds wheel hub to axle. Bought a pack of machine bushings at Tractor Supply, put one on each side, and noise is gone. Thanks goes to Wehner Mower in Rochester for the info on that. I took deck off a few weeks ago-switched back to the Xtreme blades for the leaves, and wondered what would happen if I took the 2 pieces of metal that were bolted to the deck on the underside-one longer piece on the front of deck, and the other smaller piece right next to the chute. That cleaned up the underside of some of the protrusions that seemed to collect grass. After 2 mowings, discharge seems to be a little better and not as much buildup underneath. Still haven't found what's causing the slow leak in the front tire. The hour meter is starting to look a little funky(changing color, like when lcd displays are pressed).

Sorry to hear you're so dissatisfied with your cub. Must be build quality has taken a real dive recently. I have an older and cheaper 1000 series Cub LT1050, a 2005 model. It's been an outstanding mower. Over 1000 hrs run time, still on original rubber, (no leaks or tubes) uses no oil between 50 hr changes, have done nothing but routine stuff to it (belts, blades, fuel filter, one set of plugs, a few idler pulleys, and a couple of wiring modifications)

Surprised to hear your Kubota was a POS too. They are known for high quality. I had a Kubota compact utility tractor for 24 years....it ran as good the day I sold it, as it did the day I bought it.

Guess I'll be keeping my cub a while longer, and have to spend some time researching different makes when it's time for new.....no one wants to spend a few thousand dollars on poorly made machines.

Well, beginning season 2 w/this yellow junk. Started ok after sitting for the winter, but the power steering was stiff-eventually got better after about 1/2 hr runtime. Deck removal is PITA if you intend on leaving deck off-the front leveler is held on by nuts/bolts. Needed to find out why the deck idler bracket had IMO excess slop/play.Loaded it up in back of wagon to take to dealer. Showed the owner my concerns-he agreed and said he'd order one under warranty. Got around to taking the shoulder bolt out to remove idler bracket. Noticed it had some discoloration on top/bottom of the part that goes through the bracket. It was greased every 20-25 hrs(manual states 25 hrs)-none in stock at dealer when I picked up new idler bracket,so that's now on order. I also should pick up a new deck drive belt,as this one has a couple cracks, which they also didn't have. Thinking of getting a Napa/Gates belt instead if cheaper($40 at dealer-#754-04055),not sold at Tractor Supply either(they have a bunch of other Cub belts)At least the weather will be in the 40's most of week so grass won't grow too fast, otherwise I'd be mowing this weekend.

I mowed first time last Weds.,got 2/3 done and the deck belt snapped(looked in good shape when I reinstalled idler bracket w/new shoulder bolt-STILL seems to have bit of slop)-deck belt is 754-04045-I used a Gates belt A107-about $20 at local belt/hose distributor,Tractor Supply wanted $39.99,not sure of price at dealer. In my above post I mentioned deck drive belt-754-04055- (one from PTO to deck) -found size online of 5/8x 111.4" -thought a Gates B108 would work(21/32"x111")-way short-need a Gates B110 belt-fits perfect. It was about $6 cheaper at Napa, dealer was out of stock. I greased everything before first mowing,I'll change oil and filters at 100 hrs, only had 22 hours since oil change.Guess I need to take that front tire off-really pi$$ing me off-I put around 18 psi in it to see if I could see any leaks-I soaped everything-saw no bubbles-and it held that for a couple months. I lowered it to 7psi so I don't bounce around, now it loses air. Not sure if I should get a tube put in,or break the bead and put bead sealer on it.

100 hrs seem way to soon to lose a deck belt. Mine has over 250 hrs on it. You might want to check alignment between all the pulleys and make sure it is not rubbing somewhere. I replaced the bearings in my idler pulley with sealed bearings. It runs much quieter and smoother. Are you sure the play is in the bolt and not the bearings?

I replaced the idler arm and shoulder bolt(it has the dual pulley-top pulley gets the power from engine)-I greased the new arm,and still has slop w/ new bolt. The dual pulleys on that idler arm are not greasable, they are sealed. This idler arm set-up seems like a pi$$ poor design to me-maybe so you can keep buying the belts from dealer!!!I'll see how long the Gates belts last.

Fixed the deck wheel. Never wanted to take grease(plastic fitting),so I took it off and stuck one of those straws from a can of lubricant into it-I didn't see it stick out where the bolt slides through,I sprayed and didn't see anything in the center after spraying.I thought about drilling and putting a metal grease fitting in,but no straight place to drill. I took a drill bit the same size of hole in plastic fitting and ran it through-I finally saw it poke through. Put the wheel back on,and it now takes grease:thumbsup:
