My first AR-15

My son got two cases of ammo from Palemetto State Armory last month, but I think they are out of stock on 5.56 mm now. Not sure but I think it was like 41 cents a round.

I'm curious as to what meets your criteria for a "goofy" round?

I guess the metric bit. Seriously, I'm not too familiar with these military caliber designations. Like I own a 30-06 which probably has some "goofy" military metric name as well.

check out the .22 conversions kits.. You can get a spikes, CMMG/Ciener for about $200 and shoot .22 for a lot cheaper (550 rds for $15)

30-06 is also known as 7.62x63.
7.62x51 is .308 winchester.
